Most fret slotting profiles are a standard 0.020″ width at the tang, our 1/8″ shank Fret Router bit works well for cutting .023″ fret slots. It also can be used to clean up cavities for inlay. Previously SRF023.
Speeds and Feeds
For hardwood and shell, we recommend the following starting point:
- Spindle Speed: 24,000RPM
- Feed rate: 8.0 IPM
- Plunge rate: 3.0 IPM
Recommended starting points only, does not warranty against tool breakage. Speeds and feeds ma vary depending on material type and thickness, always make test cuts with shallow passes in scrap material to verify speeds and feeds work for your machine and setup.
