The Standard Pyramid tool is a three-sided tool shaped like its name implies. It is used in applications where additional tool strength is needed. Unlike the Profile tool which only has one cutting edge, all three sides of the Pyramid cut as it rotates. These tools work well for milling materials like brass, aluminum, and plastics. High Speed Steel (HSS) may not chip as easy as the carbide, but it will dull much faster.
