HANDLE WITH CARE. Purchased two of these recently, fully expecting them to break eventually during carving. One of them broke while I was mounting it into the router. It goes without saying that these bits are delicate, but that was unexpected. Be very careful.

Jeff, Thanks for bringing this up; tunsten carbide is extremely hard and is susceptible to shock breakage. Care should be taken while handling any of these bits, avoiding drops (even slight ones).

I would edit the last review if I could. Yesterday, I was able to use the second of the two bits I ordered on a few maple fretboards, and it carved my inlay designs beautifully! This is a great bit–just be careful with it.
